Hello West Belden Families!

Welcome to our March 2023 Community Newsletter! In every newsletter we will share news that is happening in West Belden, upcoming events, school partnerships, family resources as well as events that are happening in our neighborhood!

We are starting our Family Referral Program! Refer families to register and enroll at West Belden, if they do and mention your name, you can win! Check out our flyer above for more information!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to West Belden!! From March 13-16 in person and from March 13-26 online! Visit our Book Fair Website HERE!

Our Spring Concert is on March 23rd! Doors open at 2:00pm! Concert begins at 2:15pm. Join us for performances from K-4, MS music elective, and the WB Band students!

Spring Sports will start soon at West Belden! Here are the list of sports teams your child can try out to play for! Go Bulldogs!

Our K-4 students had a blast at our Loved Ones Dance! Students had the opportunity to spend an afternoon of fun with someone they love here at West Belden! Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thank you to the staff and students that helped run and organize the event!

West Belden Family Business Directory- Here you will find contact information of parents at West Belden who own businesses! 

If you own a business or would like to share a skill you have with the families of West Belden please contact the main office and ask for Mr.Nuñez!

Chicago Park District- Free programming year round for all ages, includes- swimming, baseball, basketball, arts and crafts, etc. 

Tutoring Chicago- tutoring for 1st-9th grade students. ALL tutoring sessions are held Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30pm CST. Students can choose to be tutored at one of our in-person locations or digitally.

GAP Community Center- Weekly After-School Program for ages 8-14, Monday-Thursday. 

Domestic Violence Transitional Housing Shelter. Group and individual Counseling through partnering agencies

Weekly Food Bank allowing families to pick up food for their homes.

Northwest Center- Parent University brings free resources, programs, and classes to parents and the community. Open to all parents who are looking to learn valuable life skills or get more involved with their children’s education.

Intentional Sports- Part of the North Austin Community Center, a sports facility for students to attend after school sports programs.

Greater Chicago Food Depository-  To find free groceries or a hot meal at a food pantry, soup kitchen or shelter near you!
