October is Principal Appreciation Month, a time to honor and celebrate the leaders who make a difference in our schools every day. We’re celebrating CICS West Belden Principal Kristin Eng, and the deep passion she brings for student success! With over 16 years in education, Mrs. Eng’s cultivation of community shines a light on joy, rigor, and inclusivity at CICS West Belden, making it a safe space for all.
Mrs. Eng believes that every student can succeed. She prioritizes student achievement, school culture, and community engagement, always ensuring that her students feel supported and valued. It’s that philosophy that drove CICS West Belden to reduce chronic absenteeism by 8% and increase ELA proficiency on The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) by 10 points in just one year!
Mrs. Eng strives to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families. She’s especially proud of the powerful community partnerships and the innovative programs, like the PRIDE Reward Store and personalized learning initiatives at CICS West Belden.
Mrs. Eng is committed to fostering a joyful, innovative, and inclusive environment at CICS West Belden, where every student can reach their full potential. Thank you for everything you do for your school, Mrs. Eng!
